We got up pretty darn early today. Since yesterday was so light, we got a lot of sleep. We spent the morning doing a little shopping (more on that later) and waiting for our train. We hopped aboard and left Munich at about 1PM. It’s a 3 hour ride back to Linz. We hid most of the way.
Funny story about that book. We found it in Salzburg our last day there. It was in a bargain bin for 1 Euro. It’s all about Oktoberfest. How to get there, tips on going, and tips on recovering. It’s kind of funny because the first tip about going to Oktoberfest fest on a weekend is “Don’t go.” After seeing how busy it in on a weekday, I can’t imagine attempting to go on a weekend.
Now, about that shopping. There is traditional garb for Oktoberfest. We saw a lot while we were there, and a ton of places to buy it while we were walking around. Mary Jo wanted to look into some, so we did… and we bought.
Well, Mary JO bought. She looks cute in the standard garb. It wasn’t even all that expensive. I checked on some pants, but they were around 160 Euro. Far too expensive for my blood. Besides, Mary Jo is cute in the stuff
but I’m less attractive
(Trust me, not the worst image I found…)
So that’s it. We’re back in Linz and are prepping for a weird week next week. Mary Jo has training back in the Salzburg region Monday through Friday. I’ll be alone. She’ll be in training. It’ll be different.
oh Joni, you make just an adorable little dutch girl.
German, Mom… German.
