Since we’re getting very close to the end of our time in Austria, we’ve begun selling things that we’re not taking home and using up the remaining foodstuffs we have. We’re going to be in Linz until Wednesday morning when we will leave to see Gretchen in Munich for a few days. We fly back to the States this coming Saturday, July 2nd.
Anyway, we’ve sold the TV, Xbox, and printer. We’ve also got a buyer for the kitchen stuff, but we kind of need that still, so we’ll give that to him Tuesday evening. We’re also working on using up the spices and flour and whatnot we have laying around. To that end, we made these today:
Looks like a pancake, don’t it? Well, it’s actually flat bread. The nice thing about flat bread is that there’s basically nothing in it. Seriously, here’s the finished product with the ingredients in the background.
There’s also some water in it. It’s actually pretty dang tasty! And it lets us use up the flour, salt, and olive oil we have sitting around. We’ll probably be eating a lot of this over the next few days!
the Norwegians make flat bread at Christmas time. But, I’m not sure it’s really a Norwegian thing -maybe Swedish?
